ProSync had a little fun with employees this April Fools Day 2011 by temporarily changing the company name from “ProSync” to “ProSheep.”
Mike Lessing, CEO sent out a fake e-mail announcement explaining that a re-branding was due and that he’d like the company to be viewed in a softer, rounder light when it came to defense. He announced that the new name for ProSync, effective immediately, would be “ProSheep.” The company’s motto was also changed from “Defense Done Right” to “Defense Done Softly.” The prank was accompanied by an updated mock site with the new logo to reflect the announced changes.
After a couple hours of confusion and laughs, the mock site, which was only viewable on the company’s internal network (for obvious reasons), was turned off after the entertainment value of the joke ran its course.
